do you wear your dress because you feel good already or because you need to be made to feel good? ..Do you wear it to cover up or show off? Do you need it to cover up the lumps and bumps or show off your curves?... Do you wear it too a funeral or a wedding , to stand out or to hide in a crowd?
Personally i think all of the above depending on the type of black dress. It is interesting though to think about how a item of clothing can change your whole personna and why it does... my little black dress makes me feel like i have conformed to something but to an ideal that is sexy and powerful for a women and in that respect a sort of collaborative non conformity if that makes sense...?
Black just suits everyone. If you haven't got anything else to wear you know the lbd will do. You're always going to look chic in it. I don't see it as a repressive form of dressing, it's a classic and a staple in any woman's woredrobe. I think clothing and fashion is a way of expressing your personality and indivduality and that can only be a good thing. The Little black dress is something to fall back on when you are out of options or not feeling so daring that night. I think it can make you feel good and you wear it because you feel good. Why not both? If you feel confident about yourself why not wear a beautiful dress and look fabulous? And you know it's gonna suit you so it can boost you even more.
What's wrong with using a little femininity to make yourself feel special? When I go out of an evening I want to dazzle and be looked at and if the Little Black Dress is the way to go then so be it. Perhapse this is why I have 5 in my woredrobe?
